Matchday 12 of the 2025/26 Serie A season showcased thrilling games, surprising results, and remarkable performances from many players. This Serie A recap provides an overview of the matches from this matchday.
Udinese 0-3 Bologna
Tommaso Pobega scored his first Serie A brace since May 2021, playing a key role as Bologna, now in 5th place, defeated Udinese 3-0 at the Bluenergy Stadium. Vincenzo Italiano’s team comfortably secured the win and have managed to score at least two goals in seven of their last nine competitive games.
Cagliari 3-3 Genoa
Cagliari had a late chance to win, but Aarón Martín’s equalizer resulted in a 3-3 draw in an exciting match against Genoa at the Unipol Domus, leaving the Islanders winless in their last eight games (4 draws, 4 losses).
Fiorentina 1-1 Juventus
A brilliant goal from Rolando Mandragora kept Fiorentina undefeated under Paolo Vanoli, but they remain without a win in Serie A this season following a 1-1 home draw against Juventus, who also remain unbeaten under Luciano Spalletti. Juventus have only won two of their last 13 games in all competitions, while Fiorentina have avoided defeat in two consecutive league matches for the first time since the first two matchdays of the season.

Napoli 3-1 Atalanta
Napoli comfortably beat Atalanta 3-1 in Raffaele Palladino’s first game as head coach of La Dea. Consequently, the defending champions sit in 3rd place in the league standings. Meanwhile, midtable Atalanta have now gone eight league matches without a victory, marking their longest winless run since a 14-game streak in the 2015/16 season.

Verona 1-2 Parma
Parma extended their cushion above the Serie A relegation zone with a thrilling 2-1 victory against Hellas Verona. This marked Parma’s first away win of the season and prevented Verona from securing their first league win at any location. As a result, Verona’s winless streak in Serie A has now reached 12 matches for the third time in their history, with the previous two instances ending in relegation.
Cremonese 1-3 AS Roma
AS Roma strengthened their pursuit of their first Serie A title since the 2000/01 season by securing a convincing 3-1 victory over Cremonese at the Stadio Giovanni Zini. This marked their fifth win in six league encounters between the two teams, propelling them to the top of the standings.

Lazio 2-0 Lecce
Lazio defeated Lecce 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, preventing the visitors from achieving back-to-back away wins against them in the top division for the first time. This win moves Lazio into the top eight, putting them close to the European qualification spots, Lecce is only two points above the relegation zone.
Inter 0-1 AC Milan
AC Milan delivered a potentially crucial blow in the Serie A title competition by defeating Inter Milan 1-0 in the Derby della Madonnina, extending their unbeaten run in the league to 11 games (7 wins and 4 draws). This win moved them up to second place in the league table, overtaking their city rivals, who dropped to fourth after their three-match winning streak in Serie A was snapped.

Torino 1-5 Como
Como climbed into the Serie A top six following a two-goal performance by Jayden Addai, which led the Biancoblù to a commanding 5-1 win against Torino, ending the hosts’ six-game unbeaten streak. The Biancoblù comfortably controlled the final moments of the match and even increased their lead with a fifth goal scored by substitute Martin Baturina, who completed a breakaway run, extending their unbeaten streak on the road to five games (2 wins, 3 draws).

Sassuolo 2-2 Pisa
Pisa missed out on their first Serie A away victory in 34 years when Kristian Thorstvedt scored a late goal to secure a 2-2 draw for Sassuolo during stoppage time. Although Pisa will be disappointed, they have now gone six Serie A games unbeaten (with five draws), moving up to 16th place. Sassuolo stay in ninth position after preventing a third consecutive home loss.
