Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal’s owner is prepared to give Mikel Arteta £200m to bolster his squad ahead of next season
Stan Kroenke, the owner of Arsenal, is reportedly set to give Mikel Arteta a £200 million budget to improve the team during the summer transfer window in order to compete in all tournaments, including the Champions League. According to reports, the American billionaire would contribute a sizeable sum of money in addition to adding the proceeds from player sales to the whole sum.
Following a meeting with Kroenke, his son Josh, sporting director Edu Gaspar, director of football operations Richard Garlick, and club CEO Vinai Venkatesham, the choice to use these funds was made just before the January transfer window. Arteta and Edu have complete influence over the players that join the club throughout the window as part of Arsenal’s long-term plan to develop the team. The main objective is to win the Champions League or at least go to the finals.

The last time The Gunners played in the UCL was when they finished as the runners-up in the Premier League to Leicester City in the 2015–16 season. The Arsenal hierarchy is committed to ensuring that the club once again competes with the top teams in Europe, and they will take all necessary steps to assure success in the Champions League in the upcoming season.
In April 2011, Kroenke and KSE Entertainment acquired a controlling stake in Arsenal, which they then fully purchased in 2018. Due to the Arsenal supporters’ penury, the conglomerate had tension with them at this time. However, after a successful season, they are now prepared to take action to win over the fans and support their manager.
