Arsenal vs Wolves Review
Arsenal maintained their pre-season momentum by securing another win, starting the new Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium, highlighted by impressive displays from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

Wolves had the first opportunity when Matt Doherty’s shot was effectively blocked by Gabriel. The Gunners began to find their rhythm after that, with Ben White and Bukayo Saka missing several chances, while Saka tested goalkeeper José Sá twice. However, Sá was partly responsible for Arsenal’s first goal, as Kai Havertz managed to head in Saka’s tricky cross. The home team had chances to extend their lead before halftime, but Wolves nearly equalized when David Raya made a fantastic save on Jørgen Strand Larsen’s header.

Kai Havertz had the first chance of the second half but missed the target from a good position with his weaker right foot. Thomas Partey also shot just wide with his weaker foot, and Rayan Aït-Nouri’s powerful shot narrowly missed Raya’s post. Wolves began to build confidence, and substitute Matheus Cunha was presented with a great chance after a poor pass from William Saliba, but his shot lacked the power to challenge Raya.

Arsenal’s captain Martin Ødegaard attempted to energize his teammates with a powerful shot that tested Sá’s reflexes, but it was Saka who ultimately secured the victory for Arsenal with a crucial second goal. He and Havertz linked up once more, with Saka cutting inside and shooting at the near post. The league’s top defense from last season managed to maintain another clean sheet as they aim for another title run. On the other hand, Wolves have only achieved one win in their last 11 league matches dating back to the previous season.
