Las Palmas secured their first win at Barcelona since 1971, with Fábio Silva scoring the decisive goal to help Los Amarillos pull five points ahead of the relegation zone in La Liga, finishing the match 2-1. The equalizer didn’t diminish Las Palmas’ attacking momentum, as Silva regained the lead for Los Amarillos by shaking off Cubarsí and volleying in his fourth away goal of the season.
Barcelona inevitably sought to equalize again, with Raphinha nearly scoring from a free-kick, but the home team was unable to get past Cillessen and experienced their first home defeat since August. Diego Martínez’s Las Palmas capitalized on their opportunities, and their strong away performance, with five victories out of seven matches on the road, has propelled the Canarian team to 14th place in La Liga.
