Bayern Munich News Latest: Oliver Kahn is not bothered about recent rumours that he could be relived of his duties as Bayern Munich CEO

Oliver Kahn, the former goalkeeper and current chairman of Bayern Munich, has recently addressed rumors about his position within the club. According to reports, Kahn’s future as CEO is under discussion following a turbulent and disappointing 2022/23 season for the German champions.

Bayern Munich, one of the most successful clubs in European football, had high hopes for the 2022/23 season, but it turned out to be a difficult campaign. Despite being first on the Bundesliga table, they have already been knocked out of the Champions League and DFB Pokal Cup, leading to speculation about Kahn’s position as CEO.

However, despite the rumors, Kahn himself remains unfazed. Speaking to the media, he said that he is not worried about the speculation surrounding his future at the club. He also expressed his confidence in the team and its ability to bounce back from a difficult season.

Kahn, who became chairman of Bayern Munich in 2021, is no stranger to pressure and scrutiny. During his playing career, he was known for his intense focus and determination, which helped him win numerous titles and accolades. Since retiring from football, he has taken on various roles in the sport, including working as a pundit and as a member of the board at Bayern Munich.

“I don’t waste a second thinking about my contract at the moment, it’s always about FC Bayern,” Kahn told Bild.

“The sporting results we have achieved recently do not meet our expectations. The goal is to get FC Bayern back to where we belong: at the top in all competitions. To achieve this, we will leave no stone unturned,” added the former goalkeeper, whose contract expires in 2024.

However, Bayern president Herbert Hainer has dismissed the rumors as “not true,” indicating that the club has no plans to release Kahn from his position.
