Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart Review
Bayern Munich made a strong comeback by defeating Stuttgart 4-0 at the Allianz Arena, reclaiming the top spot in the Bundesliga. Both teams entered the international break without a win in their last three games, which may explain the first half’s lack of attacking prowess, despite the presence of star players on Bayern’s side. Bayern started quickly, but Serge Gnabry missed a good opportunity by shooting wide within the first three minutes, and Raphaël Guerreiro’s weak shot went directly to Alexander Nübel.
Opportunities were scarce for the Rekordmeister, who lost Aleksandar Pavlović to injury after a difficult landing during an aerial challenge. Harry Kane squandered several chances for the home team, who felt frustrated going into halftime without a lead, especially since Stuttgart posed little threat at the other end.
After the break, Vincent Kompany’s side continued to press, with Kane shocked that he couldn’t convert Gnabry’s square pass from close range. That missed opportunity nearly cost him when Stuttgart finally created a chance, but Josha Vagnonman shot over the bar from Jamie Leweling’s cutback. After surviving that close call, Bayern and Kane made sure not to miss again, as the Englishman found himself with too much space and fired a low shot into the bottom corner from a distance.
Kane ended a four-match goal drought for both his club and country, and just four minutes later, he scored again, securing the win for his team. A cross from Gnabry caused chaos in the Swabians’ defense, and after skillfully controlling the ball, Kane struck it into the net, marking his 43rd Bundesliga goal in only 39 games, no player in the league’s history has achieved that milestone faster.
Kane found the net again in the 80th minute, capitalizing on a loose ball after João Palhinha’s shot was blocked and scoring from close range. Kingsley Coman added a fourth goal late in the game, completing a successful evening for Kompany’s team, which handed Stuttgart their fourth away loss of the season and extended their winless streak to four matches.
