Premier League: Arsenal vs Manchester United live stream

Preview

Two giants of English football will face off in a highly anticipated Premier League match on Sunday. Arsenal will be hosting Manchester United at the Emirates stadium at 3:30pm. Mikel Arteta’s team had their first dropped points of the season in a 2-2 draw against Fulham last weekend, while the Red Devils made a thrilling comeback to defeat Nottingham Forest 3-2.

Mikel Arteta, expressing optimism, stated that Arsenal’s performance in their recent match against Fulham was significantly better than their victory over the same team last year. However, some Arsenal fans may have disagreed by the end of the game. Despite winning against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, Arsenal only managed a draw against Fulham. While earning seven points out of nine is not disastrous for the gunners, Arteta’s early-season experimentation has caused confusion and criticism. Furthermore, their defensive problems at home remain unresolved despite attempts at innovation.

Nottingham Forest created history in the Premier League by being the first team to score two goals within the first four minutes of an away game against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly’s goals left the Manchester United fans shocked, but Christian Eriksen managed to reduce the deficit with a goal in the 17th minute. In the second half, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes completed an impressive comeback.

This victory was a much-needed return to winning ways for Erik ten Hag’s team, following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur. While Manchester United’s home form is strong, their away record is less impressive, with only three wins in their last 11 Premier League away games and just one goal scored in their last four away matches.

Head-to-head

The two teams each won a home game in their previous meetings last season. In the past, Arsenal has had a better record at home against Manchester United, winning 52 matches, drawing 20, and losing 27 out of their last 99 encounters. The home advantage has been significant in recent seasons, with the last four competitive matches between these teams resulting in home victories. They also faced each other in a preseason friendly in July, with Manchester United winning 2-0.

Prediction

Although Arsenal is currently struggling to keep a clean sheet at the Emirates and may be overpowered by Manchester United’s strong attacking players, Arteta’s team rarely loses when playing in front of their home fans. They have a good chance of getting back on track against Ten Hag’s team. If Arteta’s team executes the fundamentals correctly, the home crowd at the Emirates can expect a remarkable victory by the end of the game.
