France misses out on the U-21 Euros semi-final but joins Israel, Ukraine and Spain in the Olympics
The three more European teams and France have qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 following the quarterfinals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. These teams are Israel, Spain, and Ukraine.
Ukraine defeated France 3-1 in a dramatic encounter, eliminating the French team from the competition and securing Ukraine’s spot in the Olympic Games. The list of European teams that qualified for the men’s Olympic football competition was completed by England’s qualification for the semifinals after their 1-0 victory over Portugal.

While England is ineligible to compete as an individual nation, as only a Great Britain selection can participate, France, as the host country, automatically qualifies for the Olympic Games. Israel, Spain, and Ukraine, who have also advanced to the semifinals, join France in reserving their seats for the illustrious competition in Paris in 2019.
The Dominican Republic and the United States have both confirmed their participation in the Olympic Games 2024 as representatives of their respective countries as the qualifying process moves forward.
With a wide variety of great teams from across the world competing for gold in the men’s football competition, the route to the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 promises to be an entertaining one.
