Despite interest from some of the greatest teams in Europe, Eintracht Frankfurt presently has no plans to sell Randal Kolo Muani, sources have told 90min.
The 24-year-old stood out at the World Cup finals with France and has 16 goals this season across all competitions, including 11 in the Bundesliga.
Kolo Muani signed a five-year contract with Frankfurt in March and only joined on a free transfer in the summer, but his performance since then has caught the attention of several of Europe’s top clubs. Frankfurt won the Europa League last season.
According to sources, PSG has shown the most interest in Kolo Muani, but Serie A leaders Napoli see him as a possible replacement for the much sought-after Victor Osimhen. He has also received regular attention from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Newcastle, Arsenal, and Manchester United, according to 90min, have all been potential targets. However, Moussa Diaby of Bayer Leverkusen is currently the preferred candidate.
The fact that Frankfurt cannot afford to lose all of its top players at once and are already preparing for the departures of Evan Ndicka and Daichi Kamada, who are both out of contract this summer, is one of the primary problems for Kolo Muani, who recently expressed a desire to join a major club.
In spite of the fact that Kolo Muani’s exceptional play is sure to have drawn interest, Frankfurt sports director Markus Krosche has stated that the club does not want to lose him after just one season.
“Basically, we have no intention of giving up Randal Kolo Muani after just one year with us this summer,” he told Sport 1. “But the hype about him is understandable and completely fine. He deserves it after his great performance.
“We want to continue to walk the path together with him and not necessarily sell him. Another season with us would certainly do him good.”
