Galatasaray, the Turkish Super League champions, have announced that they have come to a deal to acquire Mauro Icardi, a 30-year-old Argentine striker, from Paris St Germain.
The agreement entails a three-year contract for Icardi with Galatasaray. As part of the deal, Galatasaray will pay a total fee of 10 million euros to PSG over four seasons, while Icardi will receive a salary of six million euros per season.
Last season, Icardi played for Galatasaray on loan and had an impressive performance, scoring 22 goals and providing seven assists in 24 league matches. His contributions played a significant role in Galatasaray’s victory, as they clinched their 23rd title in May, marking their first win since the 2018-19 season.
Wilfried Zaha, a player from Ivory Coast, recently signed a three-year contract with Galatasaray after his contract with Crystal Palace ended.
