Hakim Ziyech declines Al-Nassr’s revised offer, paving way for a move to Al Ahli
Hakim Ziyech, a winger for Chelsea, is said to have rejected Al-Nassr’s amended contract offer, casting doubt on his probable transfer to the Saudi Arabian team. The club changed their offer after learning of concerns concerning the Moroccan international’s knee and hip during a medical examination.
At first, Al-Nassr appeared to be the likely destination for the player. Ziyech’s €15 million base compensation was reduced by 40% as part of the amended agreement, although bonuses were also included that would have brought his pay back to its former level.
While Al-Nassr’s ambitions of acquiring Ziyech have been temporarily thwarted, Al-Ahli of the Saudi Pro League has shown interest in signing the promising winger. If Al-Ahli are unable to acquire Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City, their chase of Ziyech may become more intense.
The 30-year-old winger joined Chelsea from Ajax three years ago, but he has had trouble securing a regular starting spot in the Premier League squad. In fact, last season, he only started six of his 18 outings in the English top division.
Ziyech, no doubt eager to resolve his future, will be hoping to find clarity before the commencement of the upcoming season next month. He is undoubtedly anxious to decide his future. The gifted Moroccan international is an exciting potential for any team looking for forward reinforcements due to his exceptional technical skills and propensity for setting up goals. Ziyech has been rather inconsistent during his tenure at Chelsea, although he has occasionally had moments of brilliance.
