The Football Association (FA) of England has charged Harry Toffolo, a full-back for Nottingham Forest, with misconduct for allegedly breaking betting rules.
The FA claims that Toffolo committed 375 breaches of these rules between 2014 and 2017, during his time at Norwich City and while on loan at various clubs such as Swindon Town, Rotherham United, Peterborough United, and Scunthorpe United.
“It’s alleged that the defender breached FA Rule E1(b) 375 times between 22 January 2014 and 18 March 2017,” the FA said in a statement. “Harry Toffolo has until Wednesday 19 July 2023 to provide his response.”
Toffolo made 19 appearances for Forest during the 2022-23 season, helping them avoid relegation and remain in the top division.
In May, Ivan Toney, the striker for Brentford and England, received an eight-month ban from football and a £50,000 ($64,920) fine for admitting to 232 violations of the Football Association’s (FA) betting regulations.
