Latest Bayern Munich Transfer News: Bayern’s 3rd Bid Falls Short of Tottenham’s Asking Price

Latest Bayern Munich Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur has rejected Bayern Munich’s latest offer for striker Harry Kane, indicating that the two clubs remain apart in their valuation of the England captain.

The clubs held talks in London last week but were unable to bridge the gap, with Bayern reportedly offering around €25 million less than Tottenham’s asking price for the 30-year-old forward.

This is the third bid from Bayern for Kane, with their initial proposal of €70 million plus add-ons rejected in June, followed by a second increased offer that was turned down at the beginning of July.

Despite the interest from Bayern, Tottenham is hopeful of convincing Kane to extend his contract, which has only one year remaining. The club’s new head coach, Ange Postecoglou, has urged for a quick resolution, as he prepares the team for the Premier League opener against Brentford on August 13.

Kane, who has been on Tottenham’s summer tour and is currently in pre-season training, scored four goals in a friendly match against Shakhtar Donetsk, but his future at the club remains uncertain.

Bayern officials are due to hold a pre-scheduled meeting on Monday to discuss transfer updates, and it remains to be seen if they will continue their pursuit of Kane or shift their focus to other targets.

The transfer window is open until September 1, but both clubs would prefer a resolution before the start of the new season. If Tottenham decide to keep Kane, it would likely be the end of the club’s opportunity to cash in on their star striker.
