Latest Liverpool FC News: Klopp has been fined and suspended from the touchline due to media outburst

The Football Association announced on Thursday that Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has been fined 75,000 pounds ($95,000) and suspended from the touchline for two matches due to his remarks to the media after the game against Tottenham Hotspur on April 30.

Following Liverpool’s 4-3 victory at home, Klopp alleged that referee Paul Tierney held a bias against Liverpool. However, the referee’s organization examined the audio of Tierney’s conversation with Klopp and determined that he conducted himself professionally throughout the match.

The Football Association (FA) announced that Klopp’s first game of his touchline ban would start right away, while the second game would be postponed until the end of the 2023-24 season. However, this would only happen if he did not violate any more FA Rule E3 in the meantime.

The German will not be leading his team during their upcoming match against Aston Villa, as a result of the decision.

Liverpool currently hold the fifth position in the league with 65 points, which is seven points more than Brighton and Hove Albion who are in sixth place, but Liverpool has played two more matches.
