Latest on Chelsea transfer news: Juventus has remained firm on their valuation for Vlahovic and Chelsea is ready to offer a player in exchange
Chelsea has allegedly indicated their willingness to provide a swap deal for the highly sought-after Dusan Vlahovic as Juventus tries to balance their budget without the luxury of Champions League riches.
Top teams in Europe have been interested in signing the 23-year-old Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, and Chelsea is one of them. Given that they won’t be receiving any cash from the Champions League in the upcoming season, Juventus has set a price of at least €80 million for Vlahovic in an effort to earn money and improve their financial condition. Bayern Munich is also reportedly interested in signing him.
Gazzetta reports that Chelsea has notified Juventus that they are willing to trade one or more players for Dusan Vlahovic. Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevoh Chalobah, Romelu Lukaku, and Kalidou Koulibaly are the names listed in the probable player exchange deal. Juventus, however, would prioritize a cash offer for Vlahovic.
Other Serie A teams are also interested in the swap deal that includes Kalidou Koulibaly, Romelu Lukaku, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevoh Chalobah, and Christian Pulisic. While Inter Milan is keeping an eye on Chalobah, Lukaku, and Koulibaly’s situations, AC Milan is said to have spoken with Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek. Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter and they intend on keeping him but Chelsea will not accept any loan offers.
Kalidou Koulibaly passed up the chance to sign with Juventus last summer in order to sign with Chelsea as a show of respect for Napoli supporters. The transfer issue concerning the gifted defender, though, may resurface if he were included in the swap deal for Vlahovic.
Due to the lack of Champions League earnings in the forthcoming season, Juventus is reportedly in need of about €100 million to balance the books. Juventus is willing to accept a swap deal, but given their desire to increase their financial security, they may find a cash offer for Vlahovic more enticing.
