Latest PSG News: The club has tighten security at Neymar and Messi’s houses following heated tensions from the fans
Following protests by supporters upset with recent results at the Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint-Germain has ordered increased security at the club’s training facility and at the homes of Lionel Messi and Neymar, sources close to the club told AFP on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, some hundred PSG supporters gathered in front of the club’s headquarters, where they lit smoke flares and shouted obscenities about Messi, Neymar, and Italian midfielder Marco Verratti, who were among the team’s underperforming stars.

Some of them then made their way to Neymar’s residence in a posh suburb west of Paris while wearing black clothing and chanted “Neymar, get lost.”
“Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the unacceptable and insulting actions of a small group of individuals,” a club statement said on Wednesday evening.
“Whatever the differences of opinion, nothing justifies such behaviour.”
PSG star Neymar, who is absent for the remainder of the season due to a string of ailments responded on instagram saying: “Don’t let people put you in their storm. Put them in your peace.”
Two sources who asked not to be identified told AFP that the club opted to increase security at its training facility and outside the residences of the players singled out during the protests. One of the sources claimed that some of the fans had declared “they wanted to do the same thing every evening.” According to the source, the demonstrators left “calmly, several minutes after their arrival” without engaging in any altercations with the police.
The recent lacklustre effort by PSG against Lorient was their sixth loss in 17 Ligue 1 games this year. With five games left, they are still five points ahead of Marseille at the top of the standings.
