Lewis Dunk extends his contract with Brighton with for an additional three years

Brighton captain Lewis Dunk has signed a new three-year contract at the club, keeping him at the Amex Stadium until June 2026.

The 31-year-old centre-back has been a key figure for Brighton since making his debut in 2010, and has helped the club rise from League One to the top half of the Premier League.

Dunk was appointed captain in 2019, and has made over 400 appearances for the club. He was also recalled to the England squad last month, but withdrew due to injury.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is delighted to have Dunk tied down to a new contract, saying: “Long live the captain! I’m really happy he has signed this new contract. It’s good news for Lewis and the club.”

Lewis Dunk is looking forward to the challenges of the upcoming season, which sees Brighton compete in European football for the first time. He said: “I’m really happy to have signed a new contract. I’ve been here for a long time now and I love the club.

“We’ve achieved some great things in recent years, and I’m excited to see what we can do next season in the Premier League and in Europe.”

Brighton start the new Premier League season at home to Luton on August 12.
