Following the unauthorised trip that led to his suspension and docking of wages, Lionel Messi has issued an apology for his actions

Lionel Messi has apologised to his Paris Saint-Germain colleagues in front of the world after taking an unapproved vacation to Saudi Arabia. Due to the incident, the forward has been suspended and had money deducted from his paycheck. Just hours after the team’s 3-1 Ligue 1 loss to Lorient on Sunday night, Messi travelled for a commercial event. As a Saudi Arabian tourist representative, he had asked for permission to travel, but his request was turned down.

Messi was supposed to show up for the training session on Monday morning, but instead, photos of him appeared in Riyadh. PSG and the club’s fans were not pleased with his absence, and the Ultras violently protested outside the club’s offices over Messi’s unapproved vacation. However, the Argentine superstar used social media to explain his trip’s purpose.
