Reports suggest that Manchester United have held talks with the representatives of Jeremie Frimpong, the Bayer Leverkusen right-back, as they prepare for a potential fire sale of defenders in the upcoming transfer window. The Red Devils are looking to make changes to their backline and may be willing to let go of some of their current players, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who struggled with form last season.
Erik ten Hag, the United manager, has been looking for a new right-back and sees Frimpong as the ideal candidate. The Dutch defender has been in good form in the Bundesliga and has climbed up the list of top-rated right-backs in Europe. If United manage to sign Frimpong, it would be a continuation of the recruitment strategy implemented by Ten Hag during his first transfer window at the club, which saw the signing of four players who had played or been developed in the Netherlands.
