Jose Mourinho has rejected a deal from Saudi side Al Ahli to remain with AS Roma

According to reports, Jose Mourinho has rejected a sizable offer from the Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli and reaffirmed his commitment to AS Roma for a third season. Al Ahli was ready to pay the “Special One” an eye-popping figure of €96 million for a three-year deal, according to insiders.

Jose Mourinho was a target for Al Ahli, one of the top four teams in the nation, as they looked to strengthen their coaching staff. The Portuguese coach resolutely rejected the offer despite the rich pay package. Mourinho’s choice is considered as evidence of his commitment to and willingness to carry on with his mission with AS Roma despite the attraction of enormous fortune.

Al Ahli has recently been promoted to the top flight after spending a year in the lower level, yet they continue to be one of the country’s most illustrious clubs. The team was bought by the Public Investment Fund as a member of a select group that also includes Al Ittihad, Al Nassr, and Al Hilal in an effort to strengthen their financial standing and entice star players.

Mourinho’s commitment to AS Roma comes after an eventful season where the Italian club narrowly missed out on winning the UEFA Europa League, losing in the final. Despite the loss, Mourinho is still committed to guiding Roma to success. The club’s management has already demonstrated a keen interest in the transfer market, highlighting their desire to bolster the team and compete at the top level.
