Netflix is getting ready to produce a documentary series about the United States women’s World Cup team.
The series will center around their journey to win an unprecedented third consecutive Women’s World Cup title, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
The streaming giant has announced that the series will be released later this year and is currently being produced. It will include a mix of new and experienced players, such as 18-year-old forward Alyssa Thompson, as well as veterans like Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe.
Rapinoe has recently declared that the 2023 competition, which will be her fourth World Cup, will mark her retirement as she intends to conclude her career at the end of this year’s National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season.
The show expands on a collection of well-liked sports documentary programs on Netflix, such as the tennis series “Break Point” and “Formula 1: Drive to Survive.”
