Newcastle United’s recent 4-1 victory over Everton has solidified their claim on third place, with an eight-point cushion over Tottenham Hotspur, who sit in fifth place. Manchester United, meanwhile, remain six points ahead of Spurs with two games in hand, but their recent 2-2 draw against Tottenham has kept the race wide open.

Although Aston Villa and other teams are mathematically still in contention, the battle for a top-four finish looks to be primarily between Newcastle, Manchester United, and Tottenham. Here’s a look at their run-ins:

Newcastle’s remaining fixtures present a mix of challenges, facing sides battling to avoid relegation and those vying for European competition. They’ll first take on Southampton at home, followed by Arsenal, Leeds, and Brighton, before facing a desperate Leicester City and finally, a trip to Chelsea on the final day.

Manchester United, still reeling from their Europa League defeat to Sevilla and with only the Premier League left to focus on before the FA Cup final, need to win games against Brighton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Wolves, Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Fulham to secure their place in the top four.

Tottenham, on the other hand, faces a daunting task to catch up and grab a top-four spot. They have the fewest games remaining and need to rely on other teams dropping points. They face Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Brentford, and finally, Leeds, who could potentially need a win to avoid relegation.

Three teams also have a slim chance of making it into the top four: Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion. However, they must win all remaining games and rely on other results to go their way.
