PSG News Latest: Gianluigi Donnarumma and his wife were tied up and stripped after being robbed yesterday night at their house; however, the couple was able to find safety in a hotel around 3:30am
Actu17 stated that Paris-Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his spouse were the victims of a terrifying attack at their home in the 8th arrondissement of Paris on the night of Thursday to Friday. According to a person familiar with the situation, the attackers forced their way inside the house by smashing down the door. The event resulted in violence toward the couple, and the thieves made off with stolen property said to be worth about 500,000 euros.
Around 3:20 AM, the frightened captives who had been tied up and held hostage sought safety in a neighboring five-star hotel. The hotel personnel informed the authorities right away and helped the helpless couple. The 24-year-old goalie for the Italian national team and his companion were then taken right away to a hospital for treatment.
In a shocking turn of events, it was discovered that the building’s maintenance worker was also restrained during the horrible deed. The inquiry to find the offenders has been given to the Brigade de Répression du Banditisme (BRB), a specialized division of the Parisian Judicial Police.
After beginning his professional career with AC Milan and enjoying six excellent seasons there, Donnarumma agreed to a lucrative five-year deal with PSG. The goalie, who is renowned for his incredible saves on the pitch, has also come under fire for his inconsistent ball handling.
Earlier this spring, following PSG’s disappointing elimination from the Champions League, Donnarumma came under scrutiny from the Italian press when the national team shockingly failed to qualify for the World Cup after losing to North Macedonia in the qualifying playoffs. Italy was denied the opportunity to take part in the World Cup in Qatar as a result of the surprise loss.
