Rafael Leao injury update: Leao has provided an update on the injury he picked up last weekend against Lazio
Just four days before AC Milan’s UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg matchup against neighbourhood rivals Inter Milan, Rafael Leao sustained an injury. Leao reportedly requested to be substituted during the first half of Milan’s match against Lazio due of groyne fatigue. Milan was concerned about Leao’s availability for the eagerly awaited showdown against Inter Milan due to the injury.
The athlete later issued an update on his injuries, saying he will be “back soon.”
“Don’t worry about my injury, I’ll be back soon. I’ve had treatments and slept all day. I want to play and achieve my goals,” wrote Leao.
Leao’s recuperation will go well, according to Milan coach Stefano Pioli, who also said the injury is not serious. As the squad strives to reach the final of Europe’s most famous club championship, Milan’s supporters will be hoping that Leao will be totally fit for the encounter against Inter.
Even though Leao gave an injury update and expressed optimism that he will play in the Champions League game, there are still questions regarding whether he would be available for the Milan derby.
