Real Madrid News Latest: Real Madrid intends to take action against the racial abuse Vinicius Jr faced last Sunday

Real Madrid has filed a complaint with Spanish prosecutors regarding the racist chants directed at Brazilian player Vinicius Jr during their game at Valencia’s Mestalla stadium on Sunday, according to a statement released by the club on Monday.

“Real Madrid C.F. shows its strongest rejection and condemns the events that occurred yesterday against our player Vinicius Jr,” it said.

According to the club, the assaults are considered a hate crime and they have reported it to the State Attorney General’s Office.

The Movement Against Intolerance (MCI) and the Association of Spanish Soccer Players (AFE) have jointly reported the use of racial insults against the player to the prosecutor’s office.
