Manchester United has completed the signing of Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old, who spent the previous season on loan at Atletico Madrid, joins Manchester United to provide cover for the injured Luke Shaw, who is expected to be out of action for an extended period due to a muscular injury.

Reguilon’s move to Manchester United was made possible after a loan deal with Tottenham was agreed upon with no fee or option to buy. There is a break clause in the loan agreement that can be activated in January. Manchester United will cover all of his wages during the loan spell.

Upon signing for the club, Sergio Reguilon expressed his excitement about representing Manchester United, stating that he is ready to contribute to the team’s success. He emphasized the importance of being prepared for opportunities in life.

Manchester United’s football director, John Murtough, praised Reguilon’s qualities and experience, highlighting his readiness to join the squad and make an immediate impact.

Sergio Reguilon has played in both La Liga and the Premier League, accumulating valuable experience. He is expected to provide depth and competition in the left-back position for Manchester United, who are looking to maintain a competitive squad in their pursuit of success in the Premier League and other competitions.
