The Latest Arsenal News: Bukayo Saka was reportedly racially abused following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with West Ham
Police in London have opened an investigation into racist insults thrown towards Arsenal footballer Bukayo Saka on the social media site Twitter. They surfaced after the England international failed to convert a penalty in the Premier League’s 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday.
Soon after the game, a tweet with the caption “This clown cost us the league”, showing Saka as a monkey surfaced on Twitter.
Saka missed a penalty kick early in the second half, leaving Arsenal up 2-1. Shortly later, Jarrod Bowen levelled, cutting Arsenal’s advantage over second-placed Manchester City to to four points.
Saka also experienced racist taunts after failing to convert an eleven-goal penalty in the 2021 European Championship shootout against Italy.
