Tottenham News Latest: Tottenham is still pushing to appoint former Bayern Munich coach, Julian Nagelsmann

Despite significant setbacks, Tottenham Hotspur’s talks Julian Nagelsmann to be their next manager appears to be going on, with the English team keen on signing him. The German, who is considered as one of the greatest young managers in the world, joined Bayern Munich following a successful stint at RB Leipzig. However, due to some setbacks at Bayern Munich, he was relieved of his duties despite being in contention to win every possible trophy available.

According to rumours, Ralf Rangnick urged him to accept the manager’s position at Tottenham. It is said that Nagelsmann is interested in the position at Spurs but he wants to know how much power he will hold when it comes to player transfer.

Nagelsmann isn’t the only name on Tottenham’s list of possible managers, though, and the club hasn’t made a choice yet. Some sources claim that the club’s decision-making may have been influenced by Nagelsmann’s lack of Premier League expertise. Nevertheless, Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso has been linked with the position while Feyenoord’s manager has also been mentioned.

According to rumours, Tottenham is also looking for a new Sporting Director to take the position of Fabio Paratici, who was resigned after his ban appeal was rejected. Tottenham will probably be searching for someone who can collaborate closely with their next manager to assemble a winning team because the position of Sporting Director has grown in importance in contemporary sport.

In contention for the Sporting Director role, Johannes Spors has reportedly emerged as Spurs’ no.1. Spors already works as a Global Sporting director for a number of teams including Hertha BSC, Genoa, Standard Leige and Melbourne Victory.
