Tottenham News Latest: Daniel Levy is reportedly deliberating on whether to sack Christian Stellini or not
Stellini will probably not to be in charge of Tottenham’s home game against Manchester United on Thursday after their defeat to Newcastle.
Following Tottenham Hotspur’s humiliating defeat against Newcastle United, Daniel Levy is debating whether to keep Cristian Stellini in temporary command. According to reports, discussions were taking place on Monday morning over whether or not to replace the interim head coach in time for Thursday’s Premier League game against Manchester United.

Removing Stellini so soon after Antonio Conte’s resignation would be a surprising decision by the Spurs chairman and an admission of the difficulties he is facing. Levy would almost definitely have to ask Ryan Mason to become Tottenham’s second temporary manager of the season, after first overlooking him after Conte’s departure.
It is claimed that Stellini has lost the trust of the Spurs players after his plan to revert to a back four against Newcastle backfired miserably. Tottenham only acknowledged Conte’s departure less than a month ago, and Stellini was appointed acting head coach on the suggestion made by former managing director of football Fabio Paratici.
However, Paratici left the club last week, leaving Levy in charge of the situation, with conversations and talks thought to be taking place concerning the best course of action for the rest of the season. According to reports, Stellini is unlikely to be in control for Thursday’s visit from Manchester United, when the mood inside the Tottenham Stadium might be toxic.

Tottenham have had conversations with Luis Enrique in their search for a permanent replacement for Conte, although little progress is reported to have been made prior to the weekend defeat to Newcastle.
