World Cup Qualifiers: Cameroon vs Algeria live
Preview
The Douala Stadium will host a heavyweight World Cup qualifiers between Cameroon and Algeria in a two-legged struggle for a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Algeria were undefeated in Group A of the World Cup qualifiers, winning four games and drawing two, to finish first ahead of Burkina Faso. The Desert Warriors, on the other hand, could only manage a shambolic defense of their Africa Cup of Nations championship, losing in the group stages. They’ll be hoping to put a poor continental showing behind them and secure a spot in November’s global tournament after missing out on the last edition in 2018. In their way lie a squad that have gone undefeated in each of the previous seven matches between the two teams, but only two of those have occurred in the last six years.
Cameroon defeated Ivory Coast in their last Group D World Cup qualifiers match to win the group with 15 points out of a possible 18. The Indomitable Lions have appeared in more World Cup finals than any other team on the continent, including a record of four straight participation. Today’s hosts, like their guests, did not compete in Russia four years ago and will be eager to confirm their spot in Qatar this time.

Head-to-head
Cameroon and Algeria have split their two games thus far. Cameroon won one while the other was a draw.
Prediction
We predict an intriguing and end-to-end contest with goals on both ends, since the clubs are evenly balanced in terms of squad quality. However, we believe the home team will barely defeat their visitors at the conclusion of 90 minutes.
