Matchday 7 of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season has just finished, featuring exciting games and outstanding displays. Below is the Ligue 1 roundup from this round of games.
Paris FC 2-0 Lorient
Paris FC secured consecutive wins against Lorient by defeating them 2-0 at Stade Jean-Bouin, moving up into the upper half of the Ligue 1 standings. This third win in five matches propelled Paris FC up three spots to eighth place, while Lorient stayed in 13th, only a point clear of the relegation zone.
Metz 0-3 Marseille
Marseille secured their fourth consecutive victory across all competitions with a second-half hat-trick, defeating Metz 3-0 away. This result means Les Grenats will have to wait at least a few more weeks for their first win of the season. Roberto De Zerbi’s team has overcome early losses to Rennes and Lyon and currently holds second place in the standings.

Brest 0-0 Nantes
Brest and Nantes played a 0-0 draw at the Stade Francis-Le Blé, leaving Les Canaris winless in their last four games (three draws, one loss). Nantes’ struggles persist, and Luis Castro’s team is currently 15th in the Ligue 1 table.
Auxerre 1-2 Lens
Playing with ten men, RC Lens secured a late victory at Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps, maintaining their unbeaten streak against AJ Auxerre to three matches with a 2-1 win. In the 96th minute, Adrien Thomasson delivered a corner kick, and Sima positioned himself ahead of his defender to score the decisive goal for the Blood and Gold, marking their fourth away win in the last seven games.
Lyon 1-2 Toulouse
Toulouse became the first team to earn points at Groupama Stadium this season, thanks to a thrilling late comeback that secured a 2-1 victory over Lyon. This win breaks Toulouse’s streak of three consecutive defeats and lifts them to 9th place, while Lyon missed the opportunity to take the top spot in the league and drop to 4th place.
Strasbourg 5-0 Angers
Strasbourg maintained their impressive early-season form by defeating Angers SCO 5-0 at the Stade de la Meinau, prolonging Angers’ winless streak to a painful six games (2 draws, 4 losses). Strasbourg comfortably secured the win, moving up to third place in the Ligue 1 table.

Monaco 2-2 OGC Nice
OGC Nice have now gone six consecutive away games without a win in all competitions, following a 2-2 draw with Monaco at Stade Louis II in Ligue 1, despite playing with 10 men. Credit to Nice, they managed to withstand Monaco’s pressure and held on to secure a point, keeping them in 12th place. Meanwhile, Monaco missed the opportunity to join a three-way tie for 2nd place in Ligue 1.

Le Havre 2-2 Rennes
Le Havre AC came from behind by two goals to earn a 2-2 draw at home against Rennes, extending the streak to 11 Ligue 1 matches at Stade Océane where both teams have found the net. This result is the third straight draw in Ligue 1 for both teams, keeping Rennes in the middle of the table, while Le Havre climb out of the relegation zone, though only based on goal difference.
Lille 1-1 PSG
Paris Saint-Germain missed out on a fourth straight head-to-head victory but still climbed back to the top of Ligue 1 after Ethan Mbappé scored a late equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw for LOSC Lille. The home team ended a streak of consecutive losses and head into the international break on a positive note, while PSG maintain a one-point lead over Marseille at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
