Meanwhile, Nantes extended their perfect winning record in top-tier head-to-head encounters to seven consecutive games.

Brest 0-3 PSG

Paris Saint-Germain got back to winning in Ligue 1 after two draws in a row, thanks to two first-half goals from Achraf Hakimi. This result also ended Rennes’ six-match unbeaten streak at home. Rennes believed they had equalized in stoppage time when Meïté skillfully controlled the ball on his chest and scored, but the young forward was ruled offside. This decision allowed the visitors to breathe a sigh of relief as the team from the Côte d’Azur left Brittany with all three points.

This win marks only the second loss for Auxerre in their last eight head-to-head encounters with Le Club Doyen. Following this defeat, Auxerre have fallen into the bottom two positions after losing six of their last eight games (with one win and one draw). They will be keen to improve their form quickly as they strive to stay in the top tier.
