Aston Villa transfer news: Manchester United have reportedly put Martial up for sale this summer
According to exclusive claims from FootballTransfers, Aston Villa is reportedly considering a loan transfer for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
Erik ten Hag is eager to unload Martial during the upcoming transfer window since the Frenchman doesn’t appear to be in his plans at Manchester United. Martial might be a target for Villa since they are looking for a flexible attacker who can play either as a second striker or on the flank.
Aston Villa is reportedly considering offering Anthony Martial a loan contract with a buy option after a year, according to the report. For the upcoming campaign, Villa manager Unai Emery is looking for a dynamic attacker who can play both centrally and out wide. Martial seems to suit the description of the player Villa is looking for to improve their offensive options given his skill set and versatility.
According to the source, Martial’s time at Manchester United may be drawing to an end because of his injury problems and the manager Erik ten Hag’s lack of interest in him. The French forward now has the option of leaving Old Trafford because of this circumstance. Should Aston Villa go forward with the loan agreement, Martial would have a new start and a chance to regain his form and confidence.
As Martial is nearing a potential leave, United is also exploring replacements. According to the rumour, Manchester United wants to sign Atalanta’s promising attacker Rasmus Hojlund to play with Harry Kane, should they be able to sign the Englishman. Hojlund’s current club, Atalanta, is eager to keep hold of him for at least another season, thus they are unlikely to accept an initial bid of £40 million for him. Furthermore, Atalanta can anticipate a greater transfer price for the young striker, perhaps increasing his value by a factor of two.
