Barcelona transfer news: Raphinha insists that he is content at Barcelona and has no intentions to leave
Raphinha, a winger for Barcelona, has denied reports that he is considering quitting the club due to Chelsea and Newcastle United’s alleged interest.
There have been rumours going around that the former Leeds United player had ‘given the OK’ for Barcelona to sell him and that Newcastle United was prepared to spend £80 million to sign him this summer. Raphinha, however, reacted strongly to these rumours in the comments sectio of an Instagram post, branding the source of them as a liar and ignorant.
“Okay, [they] deleted my comment because lie once again,” he added. “This is a lie and whoever said it is an uninformed liar and not professional. If my comment is deleted, I will post it on my instagram.”
As the club experiences yet another financial problem, Barcelona is anticipated to sell a lot of talent this summer. In light of rumours that Lionel Messi could make an incredible Nou Camp comeback, La Liga has instructed the club to reduce spending by €200 million (£177 million) by selling players and lowering pay.
