Several Teams Have Lined Up For Christian Pulisic Amid Concerns Over His Future At Chelsea

90min has reported that a number of clubs in Europe are interested in taking Christian Pulisic on loan from Chelsea in January, but the Blues are split about the American’s future plans.

Graham Potter has had Pulisic work hard for his playing time, and he hasn’t been a regular at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in 2019. Pulisic is rumoured to be anxious to depart to resurrect his club career.

Christian Pulisic believes that leaving the Blues is his best choice because they bought Raheem Sterling to fill his spot during the summer and are interested in both AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku.

Newcastle and Liverpool are both interested in a January loan transfer, according to sources, but Chelsea is hesitant to help a Premier League rival and would rather send the 24-year-old abroad.

There is a lot of competition for Christian Pulisic in mainland Europe, with Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Inter all interested in signing him. However, none of those teams are willing to fully fund Pulisic’s massive salary, as Chelsea are.

Given the competition for the top four in which the club finds itself this season, Blues co-owner Todd Boehly would prefer to transfer Pulisic to an international team and is one of several decision-makers at Chelsea who do not think a domestic loan should be considered.

Christian Pulisic also has to deal with Chelsea’s desire to get rid of Hakim Ziyech, who is seen to be the top candidate to go in January. In the summer, Ajax looked at re-signing Ziyech, but the Moroccan international could have attracted more interest in the wake of his exceptional World Cup performances.
