Fulham vs Chelsea Review
Fulham secured a 2-1 win in a heated London derby against Chelsea, who were down to 10 players, in the Premier League. This marked only their third victory in the last 29 head-to-head matches against the Blues. Harry Wilson had the first chance of the match within the opening 90 seconds, but his hurried shot was saved by Robert Sánchez. Chelsea quickly responded, with Liam Rosenior watching from the stands as Enzo Fernández’s corner was awkwardly punched away by Bernd Leno.

The Blues suffered a significant setback after a disappointing corner when Leno quickly moved the ball forward, and Marc Cucurella was sent off just 22 minutes into his comeback from injury for pulling down Wilson after the Welsh player had gotten past him. Following this, a Chelsea trio and Marco Silva received yellow cards for dissent, but no further damage was done as Wilson’s free-kick and Raúl Jiménez’s follow-up shot were both blocked.

The match remained highly competitive throughout the first half, with the score staying level at halftime after Wilson’s stoppage-time goal was disallowed due to Jiménez being offside during the buildup. Silva showed his intent by substituting Kevin for Jorge Cuenca before the second half began, and Kevin immediately made an impact when Wilson’s shot, deflected off Trevoh Chalobah, narrowly missed. At the other end, Jorrel Hato headed over from a corner, but Jiménez was more precise moments later, powering a header from Berge’s cross into the bottom corner.

Kevin then fired a shot just wide of the side netting, while Leno made several key saves, stopping Liam Delap’s attempted chip, holding onto Caicedo’s fierce strike, and blocking Palmer’s effort with an outstretched boot. Chelsea finally leveled the score in the 72nd minute with a goal from Delap, after Antonnee Robinson redirected Pedro Neto’s corner onto the post, and the striker capitalized on the rebound. However, Fulham regained the lead within nine minutes when Wilson received the ball near the edge of the box and scored, despite a slight deflection off James.

This crucial goal secured Fulham’s sixth consecutive Premier League match without defeat, moving them up to eighth place in the standings. They now sit just behind Chelsea on goal difference, as the Blues continue to struggle through a five-match winless run.
