Anthony Martial on Juventus’ radar despite reports saying he is key in Ten Hag’s plans

Anthony Martial has had an interesting career at Manchester United; from being the golden boy to being an important player in Ole’s United squad and as at last season, a “deadwood”. However, following his excellent preseason form, he is being viewed as a crucial player in Ten Hag’s plans.

Ten Hag had pledged to give every under-performing player a fresh start to prove themselves when he took over. Following Ten Hag’s comment, Anthony Martial is one of the players who has impressed with the little opportunity given by the coach.

Anthony Martial had few admirers after two underwhelming seasons, including a catastrophic loan to Sevilla, and United were doomed to lose him on the cheap. However, he deserves praise for the way he seized his opportunity, scoring three goals in United’s preseason games while also impressing with his all-around play, which included sprinting and pressing.

According to reports, Ten Hag believed Martial had a lot to give and had room to grow and that he should start the Premier League season as the lone attacker up top.

“I’m sure he can come back even better. I think when he has the right focus and the right motivation and he works hard he will have production because he is a good player,” During the preseason tour’s stop in Australia, Ten Hag was cited as stating.

Anthony Martial’s preseason play has suddenly drawn attention from clubs who have seen his undeniable skill, and now there are claims that Juventus has added him to their want list as they look for striker alternatives.

Alvaro Morata is Juventus’ top priority, but the team is also searching the market for alternatives in case an affordable price cannot be reached with Atletico Madrid. According to Sky Sports, Juventus have monitoring Martial and Chelsea’s Timo Werner. The Blues are willing to let Werner leave with other reports claiming that he has been offered to his former club RB Leipzig.

Morata played at the Bianconeri for two years before returning to his Spanish parent club. Juventus had a buy option of £29.7 million in their contract with the Spanish striker, but they decided against using it because they intended to haggle for an even lower price.

As a result of Martial’s preseason achievements impressing the Ten Hag and the uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, United has told him that he won’t be sold. Martial must deliver on his pledge to the supporters if he is to eventually reach his undeniable potential at Old Trafford.
