Latest Leeds United News: Leeds United confirm 49ers Enterprises as part of new ownership

The purchase of Leeds United has been confirmed by the club, as Aser Ventures and 49ers Enterprises have come to an agreement.

The investment division of the San Francisco 49ers, known as 49ers Enterprises, has been a shareholder of Leeds, a team that was recently demoted from the Premier League, since they first invested in May 2018.

In recent years, their ownership share grew to 44%, with the remaining 56% being owned by Radrizzani’s Aser Ventures. Leeds has announced that a sale has been finalized.

“Both parties continue to work through the details, and further updates will be provided soon,” said a statement.

During the current season, Radrizzani and Matteo Manfredi acquired the demoted Italian football team Sampdoria.

Leeds experienced a tumultuous season with four different managers and ultimately were demoted from the highest level of competition. They ended the season in second-to-last place with a total of 31 points.

“All of our focus remains on a quick return to the Premier League,” the statement added.
