Serie A Roundup, Matchday 11

The 11th matchday of the 2025/26 Serie A season featured exciting matches, unexpected outcomes, and outstanding displays from numerous players. This Serie A summary offers a review of the fixtures from this round.

Pisa 1-0 Cremonese

Idrissa Touré was the standout player for Pisa, scoring the only goal that secured the Nerazzurri’s first Serie A win of the season, and their first top-division victory in Italy in 34 years, after a 1-0 triumph against Cremonese at the Arena Garibaldi. By holding on to this win, Alberto Gilardino’s team climbed one spot to 16th place in the standings, sitting 2 points above the relegation zone.

Lecce 0-0 Verona

US Lecce and Hellas Verona ended their match at Stadio Via del Mare in a 0-0 draw, keeping Hellas Verona among the only two teams still without a win in Serie A this season (drawing 6 and losing 5).

Como 0-0 Cagliari

Como was held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Cagliari at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. This result does little for the Cagliari, as they have now gone seven matches without a win (3 draws, 4 losses). The goalless game meant the Lariani missed the opportunity to move into the top six of Serie A.

Juventus 0-0 Torino

Alberto Paleari of Torino made several crucial saves to help his team secure a 0-0 draw against rivals Juventus in the Derby della Mole at the Allianz Stadium, ending a streak of three straight away losses against them. This result places Juventus in 6th position, while Torino sits five points behind in 12th place.

Parma 2-2 AC Milan

AC Milan missed the opportunity to move to the top of the Serie A standings after being held to a 2-2 draw against Parma. A minor positive is that they extended their unbeaten streak to 11 matches. Although Milan extended their unbeaten away league run to five games, they will still be disappointed.

Atalanta 0-3 Sassuolo

Atalanta’s struggles in the domestic season persisted as they suffered a disappointing 3-0 home loss to US Sassuolo, extending their winless streak in Serie A to seven games (five draws and two losses). With just two victories in their first 11 league matches, the home team has fallen to 13th place, raising serious concerns about their performance, which eventually led to Ivan Juric’s sacking.

Genoa 2-2 Fiorentina

Fiorentina are still without a win in Serie A this season after an exciting 2-2 draw against fellow struggling team Genoa at Stadio Luigi Ferraris. The point gained does little to improve either team’s position, as Fiorentina remain at the bottom of the table and Genoa sit in 18th place. However, avoiding defeat against a direct relegation competitor means both teams are just one victory away from moving out of the bottom three.

Bologna 2-0 Napoli

Napoli missed the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of Serie A to three points after a 2-0 loss to the in-form Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Napoli supporters have much to consider as the current Italian champions fall to 4th place after yet another game lacking goals.

AS Roma 2-0 Udinese

Roma secured a 2-0 win against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico, marking their sixth consecutive head-to-head victory. In the end, Roma did enough to secure the win, which moves them up to second place.

Inter 2-0 Lazio

Inter Milan secured a 2-0 victory over Lazio to claim the top position in Serie A. This win marked Inter’s 11th triumph in their last 12 matches across all competitions and ended Lazio’s six-game unbeaten streak, leaving them in ninth place. Even more encouraging for the Nerazzurri is the fact that each of the previous three teams leading the league during the November international break has gone on to win the Scudetto.
